about

We recorded this over 3 nights at the Brewhouse's midweek bracer during an unusually warm week in July. But we made the best of it, drank some beer, ate some chicken, stayed out of trouble. These tunes are some that I'd written awhile back, but they've always come out better live. So I hope you like 'em, thanks for being at the shows, everybody. - CP, 2006

Reviews
"Depending on a listener's mood, the usual aspects of a live recording--different, more raw, arrangements and phrasings from familiar studio versions--could be distracting. But the disc is so substantial, so packed with authenticity, honesty, and visceral passion, that it seems like it should weigh more than it does." - mnartists.org

about

Charlie Parr Duluth, Minnesota

"Parr is scruffy and uncomfortable looking, with a longish beard and balding head. He dropped out of high school in the 1980s, but he looks older than that. He's pathologically deadpan in his delivery of in between song banter. The crowd really enjoyed his depressingly hilarious dead cat story. He never smiles." - Lucy Steigerwald
